    1. The nail varnish yessss!Even though I sussed "wot was the plot" lol! pretty early on I still turned the pages avidly because Park's ending could have twisted several ways a good read but I was left thinking "am I brilliant at unravelling or is the story transparent? And does it matter?

    2. It’s always good to read Adele Parks books when you want to escape life and The Image of You was no different. It all starts with Anna joining a dating website to find the man of her dreams. This romantic and lovely woman in her early thirties has come to accept that she will never find him if she waits for their eyes to meet across a crowded room. Anna has recently moved to London and as you’d expect she’s had her heart-broken but she’s also across the Atlantic from her family, her paren [...]

    3. Firstly a huge thank you to the headline team at bookbridgr . I am a huge Adele parks fan and have been reading her books for as long as I can remember. Again as expected this was swiftly read in one gulp .I think it's safe to say she gets better and better .This explores siblings and the troubled relationship they can have. What happens when you feel like you are living in their shadows? This explores mental health.  . I can't say too much as don't want to give spoilers. But I will say Adele wri [...]

    4. I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this at first, it’s so very different from Adele Park’s usual style. Some of the main characters are pretty unlikeable too. However, as usual, her books are so well written & put together I was soon hooked. Unusual plot which is easy to suss out about half way through if you pick up on the obvious ‘clues’ but still unputdownable! I stayed up through the early hours to finish it. Slightly wishy washy ending but probably a hard one to wrap up!

    5. Took me a little while to get into this but once I did it was gripping. I didn’t guess the outcome, there were several possible directions. Totally recommend it.

    6. DissapointingI guessed the plot/ twists very quickly, which ruined it for me, only finished the book to see if I'd guessed correctly.More of a chick lit romance, sorry not my kind of book.

    7. Great read! Love the way the tension gradually builds. The plot was so clever that I wasn't sure exactly which way it was going to twist. Really enjoyable!

    8. I cannot begin to tell you how much I loved this book! Regular readers of my blog will know that I am a huge fan of Adele's novels, but this, well this one is something else entirely. Some might say that Anna Turner is a hopeless romantic, her twin sister Zoe would say she's delusional. Cruel perhaps for someone so close, but then Anna and Zoe don't always see eye to eye. They are identical in every physical way possible, but their personalities couldn't be further apart. When Anna decides to try [...]

    9. I guessed the plot twist at the start and really only kept reading to check I was right. It was fairly boring and I noticed some passages lifted from older books of Adele’s, such as the description of walking into the bridal shop which was straight out of Playing Away. I have always loved Adele Parks’s books but since her (woeful) attempts at historical fiction I’m not really a fan anymore, which is a shame because her earlier novels, particularly Whatever it Takes and The State We’re In [...]

    10. I absolutely loved this book! Anna and Nick meet on a dating website. She is a lovely, sweet girl who is looking for happy ever after, and he is a good looking, successful player. They fall in love, and then Nick meets Anna's twin sister, Zoe. I don't want to spoil the story, but what follows is a roller coaster of a love story which ends with the most amazing twist! Thoroughly recommend this - it's brilliant!!

    11. This was the literary equivalent of a car crash. From the second Nick began having an affair with Zoe I was breathless reading it waiting for the other shoe to drop. It really had me captivated and it took me until Nick landed on Anna’s parents doorstep to work out that Anna and Zoe were one and the same and one of them had died so it really kept me guessing til the end. I don’t know if this is normal but I really wanted Anna and Nick to work things out!

    12. Too predictable.I've read a fair few of Adele Park's books over the years. She used to be a refreshing read, rom-com with an edge. However the last two books I've read of hers (this one and stranger in my home) were not as good, too predictable, I got to chapter 22 and realised where the story was going, I skipped to the last few chapters and I was rightSorry, just not my cup of tea.

    13. It's so hard to review this book without giving things away - so I'll keep it short. All you need to know is - Adele parks just gets better and better (I know, didn't think it possible because she is a fantastic writer already!) and this book is just an amazing example of this. Twisted, mysterious, romantic (in a twisted and mysterious way!) this book follows twins and deals with mental health in an artful and sensitive way.

    14. FantasticI have loved all of Adele Parks books but this is my favourite in fact it's very probably the best book I've ever read!! I was hooked from the start every page takes you on a journey following Anna Zoe and Nick! So many twists and turns I couldn't put it down I'm now so sad I've finished it! You will not be disappointed it is a fantastic read!! Enjoy!!

    15. I love Adele Parks. I have every single one of her books. I just know everytime I pick one of her books up something magical will happen. The only difference with this one is that I sort of knew what the twist was about 100 pages in. Saying that it didn't stop me thoroughly enjoying the book which I devoured in one day. Still on form Adele!

    16. Great book, just a bit flat at the endI really enjoyed the start of this book, and how the story developed and I didn't guess the twist until it was nearly revealed. Really good twist, but then the storyline faced a little. The end was ok.

    17. Like a few other reviewers I guessed the plot quite early on which spoiled it for me. It meant that the chapters in between knowing and being told were a bit of a drag. I didn’t find any of the characters particularly likeable but had hoped for a slightly different ending.

    18. I found the plot fairly predictable but that did not detract from how much I enjoyed the story as it unfolded. Exceptional writing from the perspective of many characters but a lower score than it deserves simply due to the fact that I wanted to be shocked. And I wasn't.

    19. I enjoyed this. Couldn't wait to get back to it each evening actually. A sort of 'Gone Girl' type read. Psychological thriller/romance, a little predictable eventually, but I liked the portrayal of Nick the player boyfriend/fiancee. Some honesty there. Nothing deep, just fun.

    20. Massive twist i was not expectingIf you love books with a twist then this is for you! Loved the characters and the three part narrative, I predicted completely different ending to the one I got and loved it even if it did make me weep at the end.

    21. Just WOW! This Adele Parks book is dark & twisty & totally gripping, intriguing until the very end. Just loved the beautifully created #TheImageofYou Fabulous characters, great plotting. You never know where lies will take you!

    22. I usually love Adele parks and have enjoyed everything I've read from her, until this. It feels like it was written by someone else. The story is overly predictable and dare I say I was bored. Repetitive descriptions of characters and scenarios. Skim read so much towards the end. Very disappointed.

    23. Thought this was gonna be a simple romanceOnce the story picked up it had me hooked not the book I was expecting to read couldn't put it down towards the end

    24. Worth a readQuiet a long story. Slow start but once i got into it I wanted to read to the end. A good read.

    25. Another amazing story AdeleLove this storyline, definitely five stars. The characters were enthralling and it was so cleverly written, sad it's over now.

    26. Excellent!A great read with an excellent twist in tge tail! Adele Parks has lived up to my expectations with this book , as always

    27. When i started this book, i nearly abandoned it after the first pages thinking "what the hell?". But it's a real Adele Parks. It's twisted, complicated, unexpected and so well written.
